Dr Waheeda has a brilliant academic record and her research, teaching and administrative experience spans to over more than two decades.

After completing her basic education from J&K state board of school education and Maharashtra state board of higher secondary education, Dr Waheeda could complete her Post Graduation in Business Administration from Pondicherry University, subsequently qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET). Her quest for knowledge paved her path in successfully acquiring a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications and her passion to delve deep in Economics as a subject was recognized by Sardar Patel University, Gujrat from where she was bestowed with a PhD in Economics.

Dr Waheeda started her career as a Research Associate with National Institute of Bank Management, Pune and soon rose to the level of Research Officer followed by her tenure as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Principal at S G M Eng. Med. College of Commerce & Management (SEMCOM). With teaching and educational administration as her forte, Dr Waheeda has a varied research experience with a wide range of publications. She has authored several papers that has been published in international and Scopus journals and had the unique honor of being a chairperson at International and national conference/ seminars. With a strong avocation for students’ development and progression, Dr Waheeda has won several accolades and awards for her exemplary contributions in the sphere of teaching and research.

Equally heartening to mention that Dr Waheeda is a Trained Assessor at NAAC Panel of Assessors since 2018, actively involved in assessing the Institutions of Higher Education at National Level.
