House Keeping Manager

Location

Role Summary - Compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards are important in any residential institution. Classrooms, Hostels, Guest houses, Faculty housing that are not cleaned properly are not only aesthetically unappealing, they also present a potential health and safety hazard to guests and employees alike. The responsibility of the housekeeping manager is to oversee the operations of the housekeeping department for the institute which has world class infrastructure 

Roles & Responsibilities - 

  1. Monitor and ensure proper cleaning of the hostel premises as well as the rooms of the students are done by housekeeping staffs. 
  2. Monitor and ensure proper cleaning of the classrooms , academic block as well as the rooms of the guesthouses are done by housekeeping staffs
  3. Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
  4. Ensuring discipline and overall upkeep. 
  5. Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required.
  6. Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
  7. Raising Purchase requests for cleaning supplies and equipment
  8. Coordinating housekeeping needs with other department managers
  9. Performing cleaning tasks when staff don't show up for work or the team is shorthanded
  10. Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  11. Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
  12. Providing training to the housekeeping staff.

Prerequisites for this position - 

  1. Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in area of Housekeeping.

Hostel Warden ( Female For Girl’s Hostel)

Role Summary - The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the Students all round well-being (Physical & Emotional health) is taken care of thus enabling them to give their best to the academic & extra-curricular activities in the institute. At the same time the warden has to ensure that the students follow all the rules & regulations as outlined in the Student code of conduct. The Warden is the first point of contact for the students for all non-academic activities / activities outside of the class-room.

Roles & Responsibilities - 

  1. Handling complete hostel responsibilities & ensure smooth functioning of Hostel activities. 
  2. Handling overall administration of Hostel, communicating with parents/ guardians of student from time to time. 
  3. Monitoring hostel, student leave record, in & out movements. 
  4. Monitor and ensure proper cleaning of the hostel premises as well as the rooms of the students are done by housekeeping staffs. 
  5. Keep a track of all inventories available within the hostel premises. 
  6. Ensuring discipline and overall upkeep. 
  7. Resolving issues and complaints related to the infrastructure like IT / Power / Water / AC / Carpentry/ Plumbing etc…
  8. Ability to listen to and establish a rapport with students. 
  9. Enforce discipline among the students. 
  10. Available for “on call-duty” whenever required, which provides emergency cover in the evenings and weekends. 
  11. Providing relevant information about the students whenever it is required.

  1.
